A 16-page base newspaper dated October 27, 1943, telling us that Dad was undergoing boot camp at the Farragut Naval Training Station on that date.
The newspaper is a predictably bland cut and paste collection of PR releases, morale boosting stories, motivational exhortations, and explanations of Navy procedures.
