Dad worked for Lines, Spooner, & Quarles as an office boy before he went into the Navy and again from 1947 to 1949 while he was in law school. On p. 25 of the History he is said to have left the firm for a position in the Milwaukee District Attorney’s office in 1950, but it was actually 1951 according to two news accounts of his appointment.
